Prominent Trial Lawyer and Former Federal Prosecutor Timothy Macht Joins DRC

June 12, 2026

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — June 12, 2026 — DRC is pleased to announce that Timothy Macht has joined the firm as a Director of Litigation Strategy. With more than 30 years of jury trial and litigation experience, Tim brings seasoned courtroom judgment, deep strategic insight, and a sophisticated understanding of jury persuasion to DRC’s work with trial teams on high-stakes matters.

Tim began his legal career as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, where he won every case he tried over a seven-year span and received numerous commendations, including the Director’s Award for Superior Performance as an Assistant U.S. Attorney.

He then entered private practice, where he co-founded two of the premier litigation boutiques in New York City and developed a distinguished practice handling high-stakes, precedent-setting copyright, antitrust, and other complex civil matters. Because of his trial expertise, Tim has frequently been brought in to join trial teams in critical moments, including in multibillion-dollar disputes involving leading media and entertainment companies.

“Tim brings exactly the kind of judgment, credibility, and trial instinct that sophisticated litigation teams value most,” said DRC President Renato Stabile. “He understands how cases are won in the courtroom and how to refine strategy in advance, so trial teams are sharper, more disciplined, and more persuasive when it matters most.”

At DRC, Tim will collaborate with attorneys and litigation teams to shape case strategy and courtroom presentations, including conducting jury focus groups, guiding jury selection, preparing witnesses, refining trial themes, and developing persuasion strategies for jury and bench trials. His work will draw on decades of firsthand trial experience together with DRC’s integrated capabilities in juror psychology, data science, and information design.

“After more than three decades of litigating cases and helping trial teams prepare for their most important courtroom moments, I am excited to join DRC,” said Tim. “What drew me to the firm is the depth of its talent and the way it combines trial judgment, psychology, data analytics, and visual communication to help lawyers pressure-test arguments, sharpen themes, and present more compelling cases in court.”

In private practice, Tim has been widely recognized for his litigation work, including as a Local Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation, a 500 Leading Litigator in America by Lawdragon, and a Best Lawyer by U.S. News–Best Lawyers in America.

He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, a master’s degree from Oxford as a Marshall Scholar, and simultaneous B.A. and M.A. degrees in Political Science from Yale University.

Tim joins DRC as the firm continues to expand its capabilities and deepen its bench of experienced trial strategists, supporting clients across the country in complex, high-stakes litigation.
