DRC worked with the defense to secure the only acquittal in any of the Varsity Blues cases brought by the United States Department of Justice. The Varsity Blues cases involved celebrities, company founders, presidents, CEO's, and other high-profile defendants accused of paying bribes to secure admission into elite colleges. After a day and a half of deliberations, the jury acquitted DRC's client on all charges. DRC assisted the trial team with jury focus group research, trial strategy consulting, demonstrative aids, witness preparation, and jury selection.
