As a Legal Analyst, Garrett Spirnock supports DRC’s legal operations by applying research expertise and analytical skills to regulatory issues, policy development, and compliance matters. He contributes to cross-functional initiatives that benefit from his background in political science and technical writing.

Before joining DRC, Garrett held research appointments at Columbia University’s Journalism School and Political Science Department, where he supported scholarship on antitrust enforcement, regulatory history, and political leadership. As a Managing Editor of the Columbia Political Review, he oversaw editorial production and published original analysis on U.S. electoral politics. His experience also includes internships in political communications, technical writing, and policy research.

Garrett holds a B.A. in Political Science and Computer Science from Columbia University.
